This style of class engages all the senses, integrating breath and movement, while incorporating insights from my nursing background.

I weave facts and concepts about your body and its intricate systems, helping you to embody the homeostatic complexities of what your body does every single day. Each class will be themed to explore the body and all its wonders.

You will leave this class feeling calm yet energised, with a new found appreciation for the inner workings of your body.

WHAT IS VINYASA?
This is a class that uses creative movement and exploration through vinyasa flow- a style of yoga that moves from poses in a dance like sequence. Based around tradition yoga style of Ashtanga Vinyasa incorporating Alignment, Breath in a rhythmic style. My classes end in slower stretches to delve deeper into postures.

WHY SOMATIC VINYASA?
Somatic Yoga is an experiential practice designed to help students connect deeply with their bodies through the senses. In my classes, I use various elements to enhance mind-body awareness:
Feel/Touch: Students experience modifications, gentle massage, and fluid movements that promote relaxation and awareness.
Smells: I incorporate calming essential oils and incense to create a soothing atmosphere.
Sounds: I use music to activate the sympathetic nervous system and then soothing music to calm the parasympathetic nervous system. overall enhancing a balance within your practice.
Sight: I encourage visual engagement to deepen the connection to the present moment.
Breath & Nervous System: I teach how breathwork influences the nervous system and overall well-being.
Body Awareness: Students explore sensations within different postures, gaining an understanding of body mechanics, fascia, muscles, and joints of Vinyasa style movement.

Additionally I delve into the body’s intricate systems, such as the digestive, endocrine, and cardiovascular systems. By focusing on these themes, I help students deepen their connection to their bodies and appreciate their remarkable capabilities. Join me on a journey of self-discovery and holistic healing through Somatic Vinyasa.

Surya
Perfectly paced class suited to beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Eve’s invitation to notice sensations in the body, and to respond to those sensations with appropriate adjustments, allows for an immersive, mindful experience. Her body queues ensure safe alignment, and a build towards more challenging poses. The steady pace of the flow makes space for getting to know a pose for a few breaths before moving on. Highly recommended.

Encouraging the Joy of Movement
Ashtanga | Vinyasa | Yin-Yang | Pranayama | Nidra & Meditation
I am a 250 hour experienced Registered Yoga Teacher. My yoga journey began 8 years ago, since then I have embarked on a transformative path exploring various styles of yoga as I traveled through India, Southeast Asia, South and Central America and Spain, embracing diverse cultures along the way. I was living in London for eight years before moving to Suffolk and Norfolk. Yoga helped me to find balance in the busy, chronically stressed and overworked lifestyle of London life.
Throughout my practice, I have developed a unique approach to infusing play and creative movement into my yoga flows. With a focus on self-exploration and empowering people to reconnect with their bodies, I encourage my students to embrace their individuality and rediscover themselves through movement. My classes are not only a physical practice but also an invitation to delve into the depths of the mind and spirit.
By incorporating styles like Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, and Nidra, I have experienced the profound impact of yoga on overall well-being.
My teaching philosophy revolves around encouraging self-discovery, creativity, and play. I believe that through these elements, people can reconnect with their bodies, tap into their inner strength, and find balance in their lives. My classes are a celebration of the joy that yoga brings, and I am dedicated to guiding others on a path of holistic healing and wellness.
